Our client, an International Accounting firm, is looking for a Practice Manager

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and supervising a team of 26 staff members and be involved in the recruitment and retention of the firm's key talent across all levels. With sustainable growth planned over the next 12 months.

Prepare statutory accounts, management accounts and VAT; possess commercial acumen and drive as well as the strong personal and professional qualities needed to succeed in such a role.
The role affords a high degree of autonomy, responsibility and it is expected you will already be working as a Manager. 
The firm has already seen growth organically and are now ready for their next stage of growth by the introduction of a Manager.

Main responsibilities:
  • Assign jobs and set work schedules for accounting staff members.
  • Review of work, controls, processes and procedures in order to ensure maximum efficiency across the department is achieved.
  • Training of staff and maintaining HR/personnel records.
  • Preparing statutory accounts, management accounts and VAT.
  • ACCA/ACA/CIMA qualified with relevant technical experience.
  • Ideally experience in preparing statutory accounts and tax to UK accounting standards.
Candidate profile:
  • Possess commercial acumen and drive as well as the strong personal and professional qualities.
  • Have strong technical skills.
  • Be committed to the Practice and their goals.
  • Knowledge of Xero, Quickbooks and Sage.
  • Working knowledge of Excel and Word
  • Good interpersonal skills to ensure effective working relationship with colleagues in the Mauritius and London office
  • Well organized, with an ability to prioritize work and capable to multitask/ work under tight deadlines
  • Fluent in English.
