HR / Payroll Officer
Port Louis

Our client, in the Engineering sector, is looking for an HR / Payroll Officer

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

Main responsibilities:
  • Manage the Time & Attendance recording system on a daily basis
  • Oversee timekeeping on all sites and ensure compliance to established procedures
  • Ensure proper functioning of biometric readers on all sites¬†
  • Process and validate attendance data for payroll purposes
  • Prepare labour costing reports on a monthly basis
  • Assist the HR Manager in the payroll processing every month
  • Prepare contracts of employment and maintain HRIS data for workers
  • Be fully involved in the organisation Staff Welfare activities
  • Diploma in HR Management
  • 5 years of proven experience in a payroll department
  • Experience in dealing with expatriate workers would be an advantage
 Candidate profile
  • Sound knowledge of labour laws
  • Computer literate and fully conversant with MS Office applications
  • Experience in using Vipertex payroll / time & attendance software or similar programmes
  • Possess excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and within tight deadlines
