Assistant Manager - Shared Services

Our client, a Management company in the financial sector, is looking for an Assistant Manager - Shared Services

Reporting to the Senior Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for:

Main responsibilities:
  • Maintenance of bookkeeping and accounting for a portfolio of clients in Mauritius and the other group offices
  • Ensure Tax/VAT filing and compliance for a portfolio of clients, and handle tax queries where required Assist in the review of client accounts and preparation of management information reports within set deadlines
  • Maintain and update the list of properties held by client entities per jurisdiction
  • Assist the Senior Manager in implementing agreed strategies and ensuring adherence to policies and procedures
  • Assist the Senior Manager in providing coaching and training to team members
  • Liaise with auditors for any queries and ensure finalisation of audit within relevant deadlines
  • Adhere to Risk & Compliance procedures in relation to regulatory requirements and AML legislation
  • Any other duties as deemed necessary by Management
  • ACCA qualified or equivalent
  • 5-8 years of relevant experience in a global management company or in an accounts outsourcing environment
Candidate profile:
  • Strong knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting standards
  • Able to work independently and provide strong support to the team and Senior Manager
  • Excellent communication skills (both verbal & written)
