HR Executive
Port Louis

Our client, part of a local group, is looking for an HR Executive
The successful candidate shall provide HR operational support to the Company and some few small business units within the Group.
To work in close collaboration with the Group Head of Human Resources and be actively involved in:
  • Coordinating and implementing projects and initiatives in line with the Company’s Talent Management Framework / HR Strategic objectives.
  • Contributing to the development of policies, procedures and practices, in line with legal provision, best practices and HR strategic objectives.
Main responsibilities:
  • Recommends appropriate people management solutions which support business aims while also providing an employee-focused HR service.
  • Implements and follows up on HR operational projects as directed by BU Leader and/or Group Head of HRs (including but not limited to Employee Engagement Surveys, Talent Management Framework, Performance Management System)
  • Ensures an adequate selection and recruitment process in line with group policy is in place
  • Identifies any problems within the recruitment process (e.g. lack of applications, insufficient or incorrect information to place the job advert) and take steps to resolve such problems
  • Change management - assists management in facilitating change
  • Monitors completion of appraisals and midyear reviews
  • Fosters a sense of belonging to the BU & the Group and promote efficient communication flow
  • Manages the training formalities including training approval and refund applications

  • Organise and attends disciplinary hearings
  • Administers payroll and prepare associated management reports.
  • Manages the annual salary review process and provides accurate data to support the salary decision-making process
  • Provides guidance on JE as may be required
  • Degree in Human Resources Management or in Work Psychology
  • Above 5 years working experience in a similar position
Candidate profile:
  • Strong interpersonal & communication skills with ability to deal with people at all levels
  • Sound knowledge of Labour Laws
  • Computer literate
  • Result oriented with good Project Management skills
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Experience in Sicorax HR, SESS, PMS will constitute an advantage
  • Good written and spoken English and French
