Assistant Accountant

Our client, a leader in emerging markets in the provision of financial solutions, is looking for an Assistant Accountant

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

Main responsibilities:
  • Help in daily tasks and full-time basis on AX consolidation projects
  • Producing key divisional performance reports including monthly business review with supporting analysis for each BU
  • Assistance in the financial projects and research work as assigned by management
  • Liaising effectively with portfolio managers to build strong relationships and improve the quality of the information produced
  • Enquire on matters requiring attention
  • Assistance in preparing and/or reviewing group financial statements
  • Bookkeeping and preparing reconciliations as and when required
  • Assistance in preparing yearly and quarterly group management accounts pack as and when required
  • Assist in the audit process of both subsidiaries and Group
  • Assist with other duties of the accounts department
  • Assist in the budgeting process/preparing budget information for management
  • Providing support & analysis to other teams, e.g. Corporate Finance, Investor Relations, Group Reporting, Tax etc…
  • Backup on financial systems and support to staff member
  • Ad hoc duties as and when needed
  • ACCA level 2 partly qualified
  • 2 to 3 years’ experience
