Contracts Manager - Electrical
Port Louis

Our client, in the engineering sector and forming part of a well-known Group is looking for a Contracts Manager – Electrical.

Purpose of job – To provide the contracting division the necessary support to achieve its Financial, Technical and Quality objectives and requirements and to promote the strategy of the contracting division.

Main responsibilities
Manage MEP contracts within the set parameters up to contract close out.
Liaise with Clients in correspondence and at Client and site meetings.
Give technical input for contractual correspondence when required.
Planning of resources for the department.
Planning of works and tracking progress.
Report on overall progress to the COO.
Attend site meetings as and when required.
Management of assets.
Provide training to collaborators.
Identify training needs to collaborators.
Report to HOD on technical needs.
Participate in contract design requirements.
Ensure that company quality procedures are fully implemented.
Responsible for project risk management (Technical).
Assist in writing and vetting work procedures and method statements.
Responsible for design aspects of projects.
Carry out designs and submit to client/consultant.
Verification of designs for projects.
Value Engineering and proposal of alternative designs.
Technical support to projects.
Liaise with consultants to discuss design intent and to coordinate design execution.
Lead the commissioning team for proper and timely commissioning of installations/equipment’s.
Collaborate to secure contracts and promote Contracting Division (market with clients and consultants).
Assess training needs for collaborators.
Work in collaboration with HR to design training for collaborators
Qualification & Experience
Degree in Engineering
5 years’ in M&E Services with Design experience
Desired Post Graduate Degree in Engineering/Management
Design experience
Good people management skills.
Good communication, planning and organizational skills
